Aarhus University - UC Davis Administrative Staff Exchange
In 2014-15, Global Affairs established an agreement of cooperation with Aarhus University in Aarhus, Denmark to provide an opportunity for a staff exchange between our two institutions on an annual alternating basis.

China Agricultural University - UC Davis Administrative Staff Exchange
In 2016-17, Global Affairs established an agreement of cooperation with China Agricultural University in Beijing, China to provide an opportunity for a staff exchange between our two institutions on an annual alternating basis. The Administrative Staff Internship is an opportunity to:
- Understand higher education in China and the United States
- Visit other universities and organizations
- Be involved in international activities and the cooperation of both universities
- Study the similarities and differences of the education systems of both countries
- Give presentations about the higher education systems and universities of China and the United States
- Explore people, society and culture

Korea University - UC Davis Administrative Staff Exchange Program
In 2019-20, Global Affairs established an agreement of cooperation with Korea University to provide an opportunity for a staff exchange between our two institutions on an annual alternating basis.
Kyoto University - UC Davis Administrative Staff Exchange Program
In 2005-06, Global Affairs established an agreement of cooperation with Kyoto University in Kyoto, Japan to provide an opportunity for a staff exchange between our two institutions on an annual alternating basis. The Administrative Staff Exchange with Kyoto University is an opportunity to:
- Study higher education in Japan and at Kyoto University
- Visit other universities and organizations in Japan
- Participate in a practicum at the International Affairs Division of Kyoto University with Japanese staff
- Study the education system in Japan and visit schools
- Give presentations about the U.S. higher education system and about U.C. Davis programs
- Learn about Japanese people, society and culture
Participation is open to UC Davis staff employed both in Global Affairs and those units reporting to the Vice Provost’s Office. Familiarity with the Japanese language is recommended but not required.
The selected intern will receive his/her UC Davis salary during the period of the internship, a per diem allowance for meals and lodging, as well as all travel expenses. Prior to departure, resources pertaining to the Japanese culture and work environment will be provided.

LEAP: Long-term Educational Administrator Program
Established in 1997, the LEAP program is funded by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) and is administered by The Institute for Japan International Practical Training, and Cultural Vistas. The LEAP program offers selected Japanese higher education staff the opportunity to come to the U.S. to improve their English skills, learn about higher education in the U.S., and complete an internship in an international programs office.
