About Bucheche Muhamad

Bucheche Muhamad is a public servant at the District Secretariat of Moamba, in the Department of Planning and Local Development, and a volunteer in a community-based organization.  He has six years of experience in public administration.  Currently, Bucheche has been working on the implementation of social projects targeting school-aged children, community authorities, and religious leaders in the scope of school feeding and participatory planning for decision-making.  Additionally, he has been involved in planning and organizing extraordinary sessions of the district advisory council and conducting forums for coordination between the Moamba District Government and civil society organizations. Bucheche holds a bachelor's degree in management and cultural studies from the Higher Institute of Arts and Culture.  Also, he is currently attending a course in information sciences (archives) at Eduardo Mondlane University.  He is motivated by actions that contribute to local development through the inclusion of civil society.  Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Bucheche intends to promote the implementation of rural financial services in the villages of the Moamba District, based on the strategy of creating savings groups and revolving credits, with farmers' associations as their target group.
