Nanyangwe Siuluta is a medical doctor with more than 10 years of experience working in the public, private and non-profit health sectors in Zambia. Driven to improve sexual and reproductive health (SRH) among women, Nanyangwe is study manager for a project targeting female genital schistosomiasis in Zambia. The project is being implemented by Zambia AIDS Related Tuberculosis in collaboration with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Throughout her career, Nanyangwe has been involved in clinical management and public health research focusing on SRH of women and adolescents. She holds a bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Zambia and a master's in global health and medicine from Nagasaki University. Nanyangwe is interested in advocating for the enhancement of women's health through SRH research among a population that has been marginalized. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Nanyangwe plans to contribute toward evidence-based medicine by spearheading her own research projects. She intends to focus on innovative SRH research that contributes to the improvement of women's health, thereby helping reduce health disparities among women in Zambia.
