Winnie Mameni Siakor-Dilah, a civil engineer with over ten years of experience, is the director of planning and research at the Ministry of Public Works in the Republic of Liberia. Her responsibilities include policy development, program development, and implementation strategy. Winnie has worked in a variety of fields, including civil/project engineering, research, and database management. She also volunteers for the Society of Women Engineers of Liberia, which works to empower women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). She has held various positions in the Society of Women Engineers (SWEL), including student member, professional member, secretary, and current president. Winnie's interest in engineering stems from her desire to turn her ideas into tangible reality. With a master's degree in regional planning and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, she aims to establish a STEM hub following the Mandela Washington Fellowship.
