Dr. Abnet Zeleke Muluneh has more than two years of experience in clinical medicine and public health. Currently, he is a medical doctor at the Clinton Health Access Initiative seconded to the Ethiopian Ministry of Health. In this role, he leads the Multisectoral Engagement Team in the state minister's office. He was part of the emergency response team for the COVID-19 pandemic, overseeing quarantine and isolation centers. During this challenging time, he and a colleague designed and implemented a toll-free call center where sexual assault victims could receive comprehensive medical and psychosocial support. Abnet holds a bachelor's degree in medicine and is committed to improving the health and livelihood of the Ethiopian people. After completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, he vows to use the skills he gains to improve his country's health policy and better the lives of its people.
