Tapiwa Motshweneng has more than five years of experience in public health services.  Tapiwa is currently a senior biomedical engineer at the Ministry of Health, where she focuses on providing leadership for service delivery by effectively managing and maintaining medical devices and supplies.  She has worked for the Ministry of Health, where she provided technical advice and strategic management.  Tapiwa has experience establishing national priorities and developing strategies to ensure the availability and functionality of medical supplies and other healthcare system components.  She holds a master's degree in medical engineering from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom.  Tapiwa believes in servant leadership and is committed to influencing positive change, systems thinking, and transformation in health systems to improve quality of life and achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) on a national and global scale.  Tapiwa intends to use the Mandela Washington Fellowship to gain skills that will allow her to continue working on the radical development of well-established interventions, institutions, structures, and policies aimed at providing appropriate and optimized health technology to efficiently strengthen Botswana's health systems, ensuring equitable and accessible healthcare for all.
