Wofa Kojo Kwarteng is an electrical engineer with over 11 years of experience in the energy and telecommunication industries. Wofa currently works as a Technical Assistant to the Chief Executive of the Ghana Grid Company. He is also the co-founder of Little Beginnings Trust Foundation, a charity that seeks to teach key values and morals to children through reading and storytelling. Wofa studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He has a keen interest in wholesale electricity markets; his long-term goal is to become an authority in the energy sector. Wofa believes that when affordable and reliable electricity is extended to communities, it improves their livelihoods, and in turn, contributes to the growth of the economy. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Wofa plans to apply the knowledge gained to create a free and functioning wholesale electricity market in Ghana within five years.
