Hilde Amushembe has over eight years of experience in the electrical engineering field, specifically focusing electrical designs, inspections and maintenance. Currently, Hilde is a Senior Electrical Works Inspector for the Ministry of Works and Transport, where she focuses on building maintenance, lighting designs and low voltage reticulation designs of government buildings in the Khomas Region. Hilde holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa where she focused on Power Systems Harmonics. Hilde is driven by her commitment to infrastructure development in terms of providing electricity to the people. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Hilde plans to continue her work in social development with a focus on advocating for usage of alternative energy sources such as renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass) to empower the less privileged communities.
