Vlatko SHESHOV, Ph.D. is full time professor in the field of earthquake geotechnical engineering at University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius", Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology, Skopje, Macedonia and head of Laboratory for Dynamics of Soils and Foundations. Scientific knowledge and personal capacity enables him to successfully supervise a number of master and doctoral students. His achievements in the field of earthquake geotechnical engineering has been demonstrated by a great number of papers published in international journals, participation in conferences in his field of expertise and similar scientific meetings as well as his invited lectures. In addition to his academic multi-institutional career, he proved to be successful principal investigator in national bilateral (IZIIS - University of Dalian, China) and international projects (FP7 projects, COST actions) in the field of: geotechnical hazards, seismic microzoning - GIS methodology, liquefaction studies, shaking table tests of geo-models. Vlatko SHESHOV currently holds the position of NCP (National Contact Point) for Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation - HORIZON2020.
