Bio

I am an Associate Professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department at the School of Pharmacy, the University of Jordan. I have gained a Bachelor degree in pharmacy and a Master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Jordan. In 2017, I have received a PhD degree from the School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham, UK in the field of bioanalysis.

 

Since I joined the academic staff at the University of Jordan, I have established a research lab for bioanalysis, introduced new techniques and instrumentations and received research grants from several national organizations. I have participated in many local and international conferences, established several national and international collaborations, and published scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals in the field. Additionally, I supervise several activities and workshops directed towards supporting the new generation of researchers and scientists and improving their research potentials. I also act as a supervisor for number of postgraduate students.

I have received a number of fellowships and scholarships from international bodies including 2022 L’Oréal UNESCO For Women in Science International Rising Talents Program, 2020 L’Oréal UNESCO For Women in Science Levant Young Talents Program, Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship from The Academy of Medical Sciences in the UK, and Erasmus+ Program Staff Mobility for Teaching Scholarship. My research interests include biomarker discovery, drug discovery, and the application of state-of-the-art instruments and technologies, such as mass spectrometry and IR microspectroscopy, to aid in understanding the pathophysiology of several diseases including pre-eclampsia, cancer and infectious diseases.
